We split the whole purchase right down the middle. On average our competitors only pay 32% back to the artist. Most sites give even less to new comers, and requite lofty goals in order to reach the next payout level. We pay 50% to everyone.

Our pricing is also important to attracting the right talent. As an artist, it can be very frustrating to generate a lot of sales with a high payout percentage but when the sell was under a dollar, does it really matter what percentage you've made. It's still pennyies. Not here. From our perspective our prices are fair for both customer and artist.

Let's be frank, the market is saturated with mediocre stock photos and illustrations, and worse. We have to have top notch artwork. We're also tagging your files, saving each artist countless hours, along with great payouts, so not everyone gets in.

We are well aware one great artist can produce an amazing amount of work. To keep our talent pool potent, and your sales high, we won't water it down!

We will close down artist registration from time to time to balance a steady flow of artwork with the number of artists allowed in... What this all has to do with Frank, I'm not sure.
